Service Update Edibell 2020

Dear Customer,

In light of the recent outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we wanted to write to all our customers to keep you informed of the steps we, here at Edibell, are taking to ensure we are prepared. Our priority is the safety of our customers, staff and drivers.

Whilst there is still much unknown about the virus, authorities have indicated the importance of maintaining good hygiene in all aspects. We want to reassure everyone that we will continue to maintain our high level of hygiene in storing, preparing and delivering your Edibell Meal Prep. We are offering a no-contact delivery for our local deliveries, where you can ask us to leave your delivery on your doorstep or in a safe place so eliminating the direct contact of customer and driver. In terms of nationwide deliveries we urge our nationwide customers to follow any information DPD may have on their website, as well as being confident in their capabilities of maintaining safety as much as we are. This directly from the DPD website;

“We can confirm that a number of precautionary steps have already been taken to protect our people and the service we provide. These measures include:

Issuing a clear travel policy to all our people that follows the latest guidelines given by HM Government.

Extensively communicated to all our people the importance of following basic hygiene protocols in line with World Health Organisation and PHE guidance. This particularly focusses on hand hygiene.

Issuing our driver workforce with sanitary hand gels and wipes.

Asking our drivers to use hand wipes to cleanse their handheld units at the point of delivery.

To date, DPD has had no suspected cases amongst our workforce, if we were to do so we would follow the advice issued by PHE and ask the individual to self-isolate for the required 14 day period.

We have had no suspected cases reported at any of our locations but if that did happen we would report this to PHE and follow the advice given.

Clearly this is a fast-moving situation and we will continue to monitor events very closely. Should circumstances change significantly we will issue further update.”

We are continually working to ensure we maintain our high level of service during this time, we have sought, and continue to see advice from Government Public Health and will amend our services based on any new advice recommended.

  • Despite regular deep cleans, we have increased the amount of cleaning being done to ensure that all areas used for preparations are cleaned more than previously to be extra cautious.
  • We are monitoring our staff closely and will ensure any whom are exhibiting symptoms are self-isolating as per the Public Health guidance.
  • All staff and drivers carry hand sanitises and hand wipes to cleanse and clean anything they come into contact with.

We wish to maintain our service and hope that the above will reassure you we are doing all we can to minimise risk and support safety.
